What is upcycling?
When upcycling, you give an old item a new purpose. Waste products that at first glance appear to be useless are given a second chance and can be converted into new products. Unlike recycling, upcycling upgrades the items. For example, downcycling would involve making cleaning rags out of old clothing. Upcycling turns your old jeans into a wallet. In this way, you contribute to conserving resources by upcycling.
How does upcycling work?
For example, we took our empty Herbsom cream container, washed it out and removed its stickers. The can was filled with soil and cress seeds and moistened well. We were able to harvest our cress in just seven days. The small cress bed fits perfectly on the windowsill in the kitchen and not only enhances our food, but also looks so decorative.
