Love for natural cosmetics
We are Alica and Kathrin. Natural cosmetics enthusiasts, friends, and founders. We met during our master's studies in Münster and quickly became friends. A popular topic between us was always skin: its beauty, its protection, its problems, and the best ways to care for it naturally and effectively. We weren't entirely satisfied with what the market had to offer in the field of natural cosmetics and personalized care. We are fascinated by the effects of pure oils, extracts, and plant complexes. In order to use various pure active ingredients, however, we always had to buy many different products and apply them on top of one another. This left our skin feeling uncomfortable. The alternative to this is pre-made products that can't meet all individual skin needs, often have only low concentrations of active ingredients, and contain many unnecessary ingredients that can sometimes even harm our skin. Lots of different products or one that doesn't meet your needs? Both are crap.
There has to be another way. And there is. In the winter of 2019, we came up with the idea for Herbsom. Since then, we've been working on our passion project every day with love and dedication. Our goal is to brighten up faces. To achieve this, we're constantly searching for the best active ingredients from nature and working on innovative cosmetic formulations. We're supported by experts in dermatology, pharmacy, and chemistry. We've worked with them for over a year to develop Herbsom products.
Now we're ready! We look forward to offering your skin, and ours, exactly what it really needs. :)

ALICA
I am fascinated by the effects of pure plant substances and believe that nature provides us with everything we need for healthy skin. We just have to use it, each of us individually. So far, however, the cosmetics industry hasn't given us any opportunity to do this. Skincare products contain low concentrations of active ingredients and long lists of ingredients that no one understands, some of which are even harmful. I want to decide for myself what goes into my skincare and be able to individually select and combine a wide variety of highly effective plant substances. I also want to fully exploit the effects of plant substances and therefore use them in high concentrations in my skincare. I am proud that at Herbsom we have found an innovative way to make this possible and can therefore provide everyone with highly effective natural care. This motivates me to continue working on Herbsom every day and to revolutionize everyone's skincare. In addition to my great interest in active ingredients and skincare, I am interested in design and photography, which is why I particularly enjoy the creative work at Herbsom.
KATHRIN
Skin care is very important to me. In the past, I've had problems with neurodermatitis, allergic reactions, and painful under-layers. Feeling uncomfortable in my own skin is annoying and negatively impacts my self-confidence and zest for life. That's why effectiveness is of utmost importance to me. On the other hand, however, there's nature and a sustainable lifestyle. I want natural cosmetics made from renewable raw materials without compromising on effectiveness. Through the individual use of our natural active ingredients, we at Herbsom achieve exactly that in an innovative way. I think it's great to work on something I'm so convinced of. In my private life, I'm a real bookworm and have a love of reading and writing. That's why I particularly enjoy the editorial work at Herbsom.

MISSION
Every skin is unique and has very specific needs. Our vision is to help as many people as possible achieve beautiful skin and a self-confident appearance through our personalized skincare. To achieve this, we are guided primarily by two pillars: health and self-determination. The skin is our largest organ and very important for our state of health. It prevents dirt, bacteria, viruses, and fungi from penetrating our organism. To do this, it must be well cared for and its protective barrier must be intact. Every skin is different, and as individuals, we usually quickly understand what our skin wants and, more importantly, what it doesn't want. If a scent, texture, or tingling sensation on the skin triggers discomfort, or if the description of a product doesn't sound good to us at all, then there's a reason for it. That's why everyone can choose exactly the active ingredients that sound and feel right for their own skin.
