How does DMS cream work?
Most creams are designed to moisturize and replenish the skin's natural oils. However, this doesn't achieve long-term results because the formulations don't match the skin's natural oils. DMS (Derma Membrane Structure) creams take a more sustainable approach. They are chemically identical to human skin. The lipids (fats) used correspond to the skin's natural oil components.
This similarity allows them to be deposited in the uppermost layer of the skin and replace the missing natural fats. In the long term, this restores and strengthens the skin's barrier.
Our base creams, both DMS creams, contain caprylic/capric triglyceride, phosphatidylcholine, ceramide NP and squalane - all plant-based substances that are structurally identical to the components of human skin.
DMS products also deviate from the typical "oil-in-water" or "water-in-oil" emulsion. Instead, they have a lamellar structure that matches the skin's natural composition. The phosphatidylcholine contained in these products acts as a natural emulsifier, maintaining the balance between oils and water, thus preserving the skin's integrity.
Gentle formulas for sensitive skin
DMS creams are very well tolerated because they are completely free of fragrances, dyes, preservatives, mineral oils, silicones, and additional emulsifiers. This conscious selection significantly improves product tolerability. Fragrances, dyes, and preservatives can cause allergic reactions or irritate the skin, and mineral oils can slow the regeneration of the skin barrier.
