All clean? That's why facial cleansing is so important.

Why properly cleansing your facial skin is so important:

Before you apply cream to your skin or use a serum, you should first clean it and remove sweat, dirt and make-up residue. If you've put on makeup, exercised, or even just been outside, water alone isn't enough to clean. Only cleaning products also remove make-up residue and dirt particles that can get onto your skin through the environment. If these remain on the skin, they can clog the pores and lead to impurities and sensitive skin.

Skin problems and cleaning:

When it comes to skin care, the focus is often on skin cream and less on cleansing. Cleansing your skin forms the basis for the other products and can influence their effect. If you have skin problems, you should not only look at your cream, but also consider how you clean your face and adjust it if necessary.

You should pay attention to this:

Touching your face with unwashed hands is not good for your skin. In this way, you spread the bacteria that have accumulated on your hands throughout the day directly onto the skin. So please wash your hands before cleaning your face . Under no circumstances should you use any soap to cleanse your face. Commercial soaps contain cleaners that are too strong for facial skin and unbalance your skin's natural pH value. This can result in irritation and redness. Also, do not use water that is too hot to cleanse your face. Lukewarm water puts less strain on the skin and water that is too hot can dry out the skin. After cleansing, gently pat your face dry and do not rub the towel over your face as this will irritate your skin too much.

Which cleansers are good for my skin?

Mild, grease-dissolving cleansing products that remove dirt from the skin without drying it out or attacking the skin's protective barrier are optimal for your skin. For cleansing in the morning and evening, you can mix some water with the cleanser and spread it on your facial skin. Then rinse thoroughly and you are ready for the next step in your care routine.

A cleansing milk is particularly suitable for dry skin, as it cleanses effectively without drying it out and has a moisturizing effect.

A cleansing gel is suitable for oily and combination skin, which cleanses intensively, but still moisturizes and maintains the skin's protective barrier.

For intensive cleansing and the removal of old skin cells and sebum residue, you can also use a peeling twice a week. For more information, read our blog post on peelings .
